These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Rice Purity Test website and related pages (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1) Purpose of the Service
The Service provides a checklist-style “Rice Purity Test” experience that generates a score. The Service is intended for entertainment and self-reflection only. It is not a diagnostic tool and is not intended to provide medical, psychological, legal, or professional advice.
2) Eligibility
The Service is intended for general audiences. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children.
3) No Guarantees; “As Is”
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, availability, reliability, security, or fitness for a particular purpose. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
4) User Inputs and Responsibility
You are responsible for any information you choose to submit to the Service, including an optional name. Do not submit personal information you do not want publicly associated with a share link.
- Name field: If you enter a name, you represent that you have the right to use it and that it does not infringe any rights, violate any law, or include hate, harassment, threats, or illegal content.
- No illegal use: You agree not to use the Service for unlawful purposes, including attempts to exploit, disrupt, or harm the Service.
5) Privacy and Data Handling
Our data practices are described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
Important: The Service is designed so your individual checkbox selections are not stored. If you choose to submit and share your result, we may store your final score and optional name to generate a share page.
6) Share Links and Public Visibility
If you generate a share link, you understand that anyone with the link may be able to view the shared result page. The shared page may display your optional name (if provided), your score, and the date the result was created. You are responsible for who you share the link with.
7) Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or interfere with the Service or its security mechanisms.
- Use automated scripts/bots to submit excessive requests or overload the Service.
- Upload or submit harmful code, malware, or content that disrupts the Service.
- Submit impersonating names or misleading content intended to deceive others.
- Use the Service in a manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
8) Intellectual Property
The design, layout, and code of this Service are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without permission, except as allowed by law.
The “Rice Purity Test” concept and question formats have existed online in many variations for many years. Our implementation is a modern interface and experience. If you believe content on this Service infringes your rights, contact us (see Section 12).
9) Third-Party Services (Ads, Analytics, Links)
The Service may include third-party services such as advertising networks, analytics, or external links. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, products, services, or their practices. Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.
10) Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
To the extent liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service shall be limited to the amount you paid to use the Service (if any). In most cases, this amount is zero because the Service is free.
11) Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms. When we update the Terms, we will post the updated version on this page. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
